Polk County Bar Association
The Polk County Bar Association has been bringing legal advice to
the Hispanic community through their Volunteer Lawyer Program (VLP)
since September of 2004. To date they have taken on 200 cases and
consultations.
A once per month legal clinic will continue to take place at The HOLA
Center on the first Monday evening of each month, starting at 6:00pm.
In addition to the monthly clinic, The HOLA Center will be working to
provide additional legal assistance and referral capability through
emerging associations with the Drake University legal clinic, and the
Iowa Legal Aid organization.
